The Vestec Speech Engine is MRCP (Media Resource Control Protocol) enabled. We support both MRCP v1 and v2.

The Media Resource Control Protocol greatly simplifies management of a wide variety of media sources such as speech recognizers, speech synthesizers, audio recorders, and DTMF recognizers by providing a common language to speak to all of these devices. With MRCP, system integrators and solution providers are free to select the best of breed products from each vendor for their speech application without worrying about non-standard integration.
