Soft-PBX Overview

The Vestec Speech Engine can be integrated with a variety of soft-PBX platforms. Vestec provides pre-built “connectors” (ie. “plug-ins”) for Asterisk and FreeSWITCH, the two most popular soft-PBX platforms in the market today. These connectors allow an Asterisk or FreeSWITCH user to interact with the speech engine directly via Dialplan. Asterisk and FreeSWITCH connectors are available free of charge but must be downloaded separately. A developer can also construct custom connectors for Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or other soft-PBX platforms using the speech engine's API.
