The Vestec Speech Engine represents excellent value for enabling speech recognition on a wide variety of PBX and contact center platforms. It is available in three configurations: (a) $25 1-port starter kit license; (b) $99 1-port standard engine license; and (c) $399 5-port standard engine license. A “port” refers to a speech “channel”. All licenses are perpetual and license fee includes installation support as well as first-year software maintenance. From 2nd year onwards, optional software maintenance (covering fixes and upgrades) can be purchased for $15 per port per year. Speech engine “connectors” for major soft-PBX platforms – such as Asterisk and FreeSWITCH – are available free-of-charge but must be downloaded separately.

• The $25 starter kit is a specially priced one-port license of a full-feature, full-function standard speech engine. Only one starter kit license can be deployed on a machine.


• One port license of standard speech engine costs $99. There is no requirement to purchase a minimum number of ports to take advantage of the low price.


• The $399 5-pack is a specially priced bundle of five standard engine licenses. It provides a discount on large number of ports; buy 4 ports, get 5th port free.

The low price of Vestec speech engine enables potential savings of hundreds of dollars per port in licensing costs compared to conventional solutions. The buyer also stands to reap additional savings annually from comparatively lower software maintenance fees.
