Speech Engine Overview

The Vestec Speech Engine has been designed as a robust, low-cost, flexible, standards-based alternative to conventional speech recognition engines for a wide variety of SOHO, SMB, SME, and Enterprise deployments. The engine is available in three configurations: (a) $25 full-feature starter kit; (b) $99 one port license; and (c) $399 5-port license pack.

Vestec’s speech engine generates among the highest recognition accuracy in the industry, costs a fraction of competitive offerings, can be integrated with major soft-PBX platforms such as Asterisk and FreeSWITCH, provides a vocabulary size sufficient for most applications, supports standards-based grammar writing format, is speaker and hardware independent, is based on a scalable client-server architecture, runs on Linux and Windows operating systems, comes with American English acoustic model, and is well suited for a wide variety of call-routing and self-service speech applications.

Engine price includes installation support as well as first-year software maintenance. From 2nd year onwards, optional maintenance (covering fixes and upgrades) can be purchased for $15/port per year. Additional support – including, product training, grammar writing, application development, system integration, and best practices consulting – is also available from Vestec at competitive rates.
